Bo Rasnake

Bo Rasnake, age 80 of North Tazewell, VA died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. He was born February 28, 1941 in Tazewell, VA and was the son of the late Una Rasnake and grandparents, William Rasnake and Rosalie Sutherland Rasnake, who raised him. Bo was a 1959 Graduate of Richlands High School and had worked for many years as an Assembler for Westing House and as a member of the bridge crew, working for Norfolk-Southern Railway. He was a member of Southgate-Potter Masonic Lodge #0782 and Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Columbus. Bo enjoyed fishing, watching football and racing. He was a member of the Mudfork Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Ward Rasnake. Those who survive to cherish his memory include his two sons, Billy Rasnake and wife, April of Charleston, WV and Troy Rasnake of Bluefield, VA; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Rasnake Street and husband, Aaron of Princeton, WV, Ashley Rasnake of Salem, WV, Katlynn Rasnake and Ciara Rasnake both of Charleston, WV; other family members and friends also survive. Graveside Services for Mr. Rasnake will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA, with Pastor Chris White officiating. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to travel with the family in the funeral procession are asked to be at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA by 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
