Brenda Faye Colley

Brenda Faye Colley, age 67, of the Baptist Valley section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at her home following a lengthy illness. Brenda was born on January 8, 1954 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Floyd and Grace White Colley. She was a graduate of Richlands High School and worked as a baby sitter. Brenda was a member of Yost Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Baptist Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude D., Floyd Jr., and Raymond Colley. Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Dorothy Baldwin and husband, Joe of Baptist Valley, Virginia, Ethel Stumpp of Richlands, Virginia, Betty Hurd of Baptist Valley, Virginia; Brothers, Don Colley and wife, Frances of Baptist Valley, Virginia, Ray Colley and wife, Nancy of Bluefield, Virginia, Tom Colley and wife, Ruth Ann of Abingdon, Virginia; Several nieces, nephews, special friends, and her church family also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105). Funeral services for Brenda Faye Colley will be conducted at 12 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Chuck Patterson and Rev. Tom Colley officiating. Interment will be private at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Alicie, Brian McGraw, Bobby Baldwin, Randy Colley, Jesse Colley, Marty Hurd, Kaleb Hurd, Cody Hurd, Kelly Smith, and Mason Colley. The family will receive friends from 11 AM on Thursday until the time of the service.
