Christal Michelle Mitchell age 45, of Pounding Mill, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. Christal was born on August 23, 1976, in Beckley, West Virginia, and was the daughter of Jackie Oneil Crowe and the late Dennis Crowe. She was a graduate of Meadowbridge High School and had dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a lifelong resident of the area and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey “Fro” Mitchell. She is survived by her Son, Chris Mitchell of Pounding Mill, VA Mother, Jackie Oneil Crowe of Rainelle, WV Husband, Donald Ballew of Pounding Mill, VA Daughter, Rachel Ballew of Pounding Mill, VA Brothers: Ralph Crowe, Danny Sink, and David Crowe, all of WV The funeral service for Christal Mitchell will be at 2:00 pm, on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Pastor Ann Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at the Clinch Valley Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Relatives and family will serve as pallbearers. In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hurst-Scott Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday.
