Eula Mae Helton Dye age 73, of the Gratton section of Tazewell, Virginia drew her last breath on this earth, Thursday, March 10, 2022 in a Roanoke hospital. Eula was born on September 25, 1948 in Buchanan County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Elijah Helton and Mable Ratliff Helton. She enjoyed going flea marketing and taking long leisurely drives, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Eugene Dye; her son, Eugene Jones and a sister, Brenda Dye. Those that remain to carry on her spirit are her: Son, Thomas Kenneth Dye and companion, Hannah of Tazewell, VA Daughters: Jennifer Brown and husband, John of Tazewell, VA Shirley Flinchum and husband, John of Pulaski, VA Tammy Dye of Bluefield, VA Sisters: Dolly Elswick of NC Linda Thomas and husband, John of Richmond, VA Carolyn Shortridge of Glade Springs, VA Brothers: Larry Helton and wife, Linda of NC Bufford Helton of Buchanan County, VA James Helton and wife, Regina of Buchanan County, VA Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends. The funeral service for Eula Mae Dye will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with the Rev. Kelvin Seabolt officiating. Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be William Davis, Carter Robins, Curtis Sanders, John Flinchum, Matthew Webb. The family will begin receiving friends at the funeral home at 1:00pm until time of service.
