Gene Clyde Hess Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gene Clyde Hess, age 62, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his home. He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of the late Balford and Ruby Pearl Hess. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a former coal miner, truck driver, and an associate at Heligh Meyers Furniture. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bob, Steve, Charles, Grover, and Norman Hess. Survivors are: His Wife: Cynthia “Cindy” Hess Daughters: Keri Hess and husband, Ryan Collins of Raven, Virginia Sarah Madison Hess of Thompson Valley, Virginia Son: Tony Marshall Hess and wife, Lena of Alabama Sisters: Stella Richardson of Raven, Virginia Carol Joyce and husband, Larry of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Sister In Law: Barbara Hess of Claypool Hill, Virginia Brother: Ricky Hess and wife, Margaret of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Grandchildren: Austyn West and Deidre Mitchell Special Friends: Bill and Shelia Cantrell, Chris Garza, and Jill Ogle Funeral services for Gene Clyde Hess will be conducted Friday, December 24, 2021 at 11am at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Norma Mabe and Keith Cordle officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virgnia. Pallbearers will be: Chris Hess, Jimmy Meadows, Bill Cantrell, Keith Cordle, Ryan Collins, Donald Stacy, and Dyllon Southern.
