Johnny Dillon Cantrell

Johnny Dillon Cantrell, age 49, of Barboursville, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 near Huntington, West Virginia from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born May 5, 1972 in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of Harold and Diana Keene Cantrell of Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Dillon was a heavy equipment operator in the pipeline industry for years and was a U.S. Army Desert Storm Veteran, and an active member of USMVMC, and his club name was Floki. He was a graduate of Whitewood High School Class of 1990. Dillon was an avid fisherman, hunter, and motorcyclist. He will be missed by all his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Thelma Cantrell; maternal grandparents, Nelson and Florida Keen; and step grandfather, Truman Keen. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: Wife: Porsche Varney Cantrell Daughters: Shylah Cantrell and boyfriend, Kaleb Vanhoozer Sierra Cantrell Son: Ethan Cantrell Step Children: Lexus Rife, Linzie Rife, and Landon Rife Sisters: Carol Ann Cantrell of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Annette Horn and husband, Lance of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Brother: Daniel Cantrell of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Step Grandchild: Carter Vanhoozer Mother of his daughters, Dana Ball Mother of his son, Kay Cantrell Mother-in-law, Traci Hanna Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services for Johnny Dillon Cantrell will be conducted Friday, March 25, 2022, at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Earl Cole and Lance Horn officiating. Interment will be at the Cantrell Family Cemetery on Brown Mountain near Jewell Ridge, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Members of Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 6pm until 9pm on Thursday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Friends will gather at the Whitewood Community Center following the burial .
