Kevin Paul Johnson, age 43, of Richlands, Virginia, departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Kevin was born April 25, 1978, in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of Carl and Barbara Fields Johnson. Kevin loved life and loved making people laugh. He loved spending time with the family and reminiscing about all the good times growing up as a child. Kevin enjoyed working on cars and trucks and doing woodwork. He would give a helping hand to anyone in need and loved watching the Dukes of Hazzard. He was a lifelong resident of the area and will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ollie Asbury Johnson; and maternal grandparents, Ernest and Ethel Fields; and one niece, Tracy Dawn “Tiny” Johnson. Kevin is survived by his, Loving parents Carl and Barbara Johnson. Sons, Joshua Devon Johnson, and Axel Johnson Sisters: Angelia Collins and husband, Scott of Claypool Hill, VA Kimberly Shinall and husband, Elmer of Pounding Mill, VA Kaitlyn Elkins and husband, Tanner of Raven, VA Emily Johnson of Richlands, VA Brothers: Christopher Johnson and wife, Chyrl of Tazewell, VA Nicholas Johnson Jeffery Johnson and wife, Leta of Cedar Bluff, VA Bryan Johnson and fiancée, Stephanie of Bluefield, WV Tyler Johnson and fiancée, Tiarra of Raven, VA 25 nieces and nephews also survive along with a host of friends and family. The funeral service for Kevin Johnson will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Rick Pruitt and Rev. Lisa Haywood officiating. Interment will follow at the Price Family Cemetery in Bandy, Virginia. Pallbearers will be brothers and brothers-in-law. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening at the funeral home beginning at 6:00 pm.
