Larry Joe Arnold, age 64, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at the Clinch Valley Medical Center. Larry was born on December 7, 1957 in Richlands, Virginia, and was the son of the late James Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold, and stepmother, Coy Arnold. Larry was a graduate of Richlands High School. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired coal miner. In addition to his parents, and stepmother, Coy Arnold, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Raymond Arnold, Dewey Arnold, Henry Arnold, and Johnny Arnold; and five sisters, Nellie Phipps, Dorothy Bolick, Cindy Dickerson, Ann Holland, and Carol Smith. Survivors include: His wife; Tishie Arnold Six Sons: Raymond Arnold of Richlands, VA Adam Arnold and wife, Mary, of Kentucky Arthur Arnold and wife, Jessi, of Raven, VA Josh Arnold and wife, Sarah, of Wardell, VA Jerimiah Arnold of Richlands, VA Brandon Arnold of Richlands, VA Three Sisters: Opal Viars of Richlands, VA Linda Smith of Georgia Nancy Hamblin of Dublin, VA Also surviving are ten grandchildren and several family and friends. Funeral services for Larry Joe Arnold will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia. Interment will follow at the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The Arnold family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.
