Larry Wayne Brown

Larry Wayne Brown, age 61, of Pounding Mill, Virginia, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at his home. He was born in Red Ash, Virginia and was the son of the late Clyde Eugene Brown and Rachel Ann Dye Brown. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was an assistant greenskeeper at the Tazewell County Country Club for the past 33 years. His son was his world, he enjoyed spending time with him and he also loved sports and fishing. He enjoyed pulling pranks and telling jokes. He always had a smile and loved to make everyone laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Brown; and brothers, Billy Brown and Ricky Brown. Survivors are: His Son, who was his world: Curtlin Dewayne Brown of Pounding Mill, Virginia Sisters: Tammie Brown of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Becky Brown of Richlands, Virginia Brothers: Darrell Brown, Sr. and wife, Tina of Richlands, Virginia Clyde David Brown of Richlands, Virginia Mother and Dad at Heart: Curtis and Mary Stilwell Children of the Heart: Gabriel Ryan Lowe, Braylin Lee Bullion, Addlyn Renae Roberts Special Friend and BFF: Crystal Lowe of Pounding Mill, Virginia Special Friend: JC Gross of Pounding Mill, Virginia and William Lowe, Jr. (Buck) of Pounding Mill, Virginia Special Niece and God Daughter: Savannah Bullion and husband, Paul of Pounding Mill, Virginia Special Nephew: Ryan Lowe of Richlands, Virginia Special Niece: Kristy Murray of Lexington, NC Special Aunt: Nancy White of Abingdon, Virginia Several other Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Larry Wayne Brown will be conducted Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. James Dye, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Ball Family Cemetery on Road Ridge near Raven, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Curtlin Brown, Ryan Lowe, William “Buck” Lowe, Paul Bullion, Garnett “PeeWee” Stilwell, Chris Hale, Ricky Burress, Caleb Holmes, and Bobby Dye (Special Cousin and Co Worker). Honorary Pallbearers will be: Curtis Stilwell, Mike Roberts, and Thomas Shelton. Friends may visit from 6pm until 8pm on Sunday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
