Nina N Fields Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nina N. Fields, age 97, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at her home. She was born in Tazewell County and was the daughter of the late Eli Witt and Martha E. Marshall Witt Peery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert “Jim Bob” Fields; three sons, Dennis Fields, Victor Fields, and Phillip Fields; sister, Geraldine Holmes; grandchildren, Ricky Lee Fields and Russell Hicks; and great grandson, Ricky Lee Nickels. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors are: Daughters: Roberta Ann Hicks of Richlands, Virginia Joy Fields of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Sue Lester and husband, Darrell of Raven, Virginia Son: James Fields and wife, Gloria of Richlands, Virginia Sixteen Grandchildren; Thirty-Four Great Grandchildren; and Fourteen Great-Great Grandchildren also survive. Special thanks to Legacy Hospice and especially Judy Meadows for their care and concern. Funeral services for Nina Fields will be conducted Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Dennis White officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Duane Fields, Darrell Fields, Michael Fields, Larry Fields, Sr., Larry Fields, Jr., and Kenneth Stilwell. Friends may visit from 1pm until 2pm on Wednesday prior to the funeral at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home.
