Norma Jean Cline

Norma Jean Waugh Cline, age 83 of Pounding Mill, VA died Monday, February 14, 2022 at her home. She was born November 13, 1938 in Hanover, WV and was a daughter of the late William “Jigs” Jennings Bryant Waugh and Lou Vernie Auville Waugh. She was a Graduate of Baileysville High School and enjoyed reading, shopping and family gatherings. She was a member of the Fincastle Baptist Church in Tazewell, VA and a member of the Red Hatters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Forrest Cline; one sister, Loretta Blankenship; two brothers, Carl Waugh and Tilden “Tick” Waugh; son in-law, Rick Lester; daughter in-law, Betty Underwood Cline. Those who survive to cherish her memory include her children, Jeffrey Cline and wife, Tina of Pounding Mill, VA, David Cline and wife, Vivian of Cedar Bluff, VA and Twila Jeanette Cline Lester of Pounding Mill, VA; two sisters, Dora Lester and husband, Bill of Hanover, WV and Nancy Hill of Princeton, WV; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Cline will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, VA with Pastor Rick Mallory officiating. Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, VA. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 – 9 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022.
