Norman James Cordle

October 26, 1931 - April 2, 2022

Norman James Cordle, age 90, of Raven, Virginia, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home. He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of the late Fred B. and Dona Renfro Cordle. He accepted the Lord as His Savior in 2002 and attended Raven Assembly of God. He was the owner of Norman Cordle TV Service. He loved to hunt, fish, play bingo, and spend time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Daniel, Glen, Fred, and Robert Cordle; and three sisters, Gladys Plaster, Billie Griffith, and Shirley Mabe. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors are: His Wife of 58 years: Judy Cordle Two Daughters: Remona Cordle Tammy Richardson and husband, Brian One Precious Grandson: Brian Richardson, II and wife, Cortney Brother in Law: Virgle Griffith Sister in Law: Sally Cordle Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Special Friends and Neighbors: Sandy Dailey, Debbie Taylor, and Tammy Buckles Funeral services for Norman James Cordle will be conducted Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 1pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Brian Richardson and Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens, in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be: James Asbury, Sr., JC Owens, RC Miller, and Marvin Turley. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday prior to the funeral. Members of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post #9640 will conduct military graveside rites.
