Peggy Sue Blankenship, age 68, of the Pea Patch section of Jewell Ridge, Virginia, passed away on February 2, 2021 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia following a lengthy illness. Peggy was born on May 29, 1952 in Russell County, Virginia to the late Kemper Gilmore Cook and Dola Street Keen. She served her family as a homemaker and was a lifelong resident of the area. Those left to cherish her memory include her lifetime partner of 35 years, Theodore Stillwell; Sons, Isaac Hale of Richmond, Virginia; Roger Blankenship and wife, Tammy of Greenville, South Carolina; Sisters, Sylvia Bise of Roanoke, Virginia Jerelene Greer of Roanoke, Virginia Barbara Chaffin of Roanoke, Virginia; Brothers, Michael Cook of Roanoke, Virginia Ricky Cook of Roanoke, Virginia Willis Cook of Honaker, Virginia Kenneth Cook of Honaker, Virginia. In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
