Peggy C. Brown, age 73, of Raven, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, Virginia. Peggy was born on January 6, 1947 in Buchanan County, Virginia to the late John and Dorothy Horton Keen. She had worked for 18 years as the kitchen manager of Shoney’s in Richlands, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, John William Brown and Johnnie Lewis Lovelace; and brothers, George, Ira, Johnnie, and Roger Keen. Those left to cherish her memory include Her husband of 57 years, Bob Brown; Daughters, Mennie Roberts and husband, Jack of Axton, Virginia, Barbara Kiser and husband, Jack of Honaker, Virginia, Dorothy Taylor and husband Danny Wayne of Honaker, Virginia; Sons, James Brown and wife, Ann of Elizabethton, Tennessee, Pete Brown and wife, Beverly of Spotsylvania, Virginia; Sister, Nancy Vance of Bandy, Virginia. Fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of additional family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Peggy C. Brown will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Reverend Mike Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM on Friday evening, July 31, 2020.
