Shelba Jean Alicie Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shelba Jean Williamson Alicie, age 85, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at a local Richlands hospital. Shelba was born in Squire, West Virginia on January 5, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Dock Bailer Williamson and Emma Louise Williamson. She spent the majority of her life in the Cedar Bluff area where she served tirelessly as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister, friend and homemaker. Shelba had attended the Claypool Hill Bible Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Edward “Jim Ed” Alicie; her son, Stacey Wayne “Cowboy” Alicie; granddaughter, Brittany Lee Perkins; one great granddaughter, Emma Damron; three brothers, Billy Williamson, Eddie Williamson, Michael Williamson; sister-in-law, Marika Williamson; son-in-law, Gary Shrader; daughters-in-law, Barbara Alicie, and Liz Alicie. Those that remain to carry on her loving spirit are: Daughters: Karen Gale Shrader of Cedar Bluff, VA Cristina Lynn Allison of the home Sons: Gary Allen Alicie and wife, Teresa of Cedar Bluff, VA James Timothy Alicie of Delaware, OH Tracey Dwayne Alicie and wife, Hope of Cedar Bluff, VA Sister-in-law, Darlene Williamson of Newhall, West Virginia. Special caretaker and friend Judy Minton Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren along with a host of family and friends. The funeral service for Shelba J. Alicie will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Brian Tegeler officiating. Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will begin to receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
