William Arnold "Arnie" Boothe

God whispered the words, come home, son. Your work on earth is done. Rest with the Angels through all eternity. Arnold (Arnie) Boothe Passed away unexpectedly at PCH on Saturday, February 24th, 2024. Born June 15th, 1954, in Tazewell, Va. He was the son of the late Pierce and Flossie Boothe. Growing up in a large, close family of 5 brothers and 2 sisters; he was loved and considered a very special person by all. Arnie spent his younger years working alongside several of his brothers for General Tire and Rubber Co. in Bluefield, WV. When he left that career, he & his wife Sandy built from the ground up the very successful business Southwest Sanitation in Tazewell, VA. They worked long hours building that business along with their branch-off business's A&S Portables and Southwest Shredders. Arnie married the love of his life, Sandy Lane Boothe, in 1979. They lived a busy but loving life, full of hard work and dedication to one another for 32 years until Sandy passed away of Breast Cancer on January 23rd, 2012. Arnie continued their legacy of running their successful businesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce & Flossie Boothe. His loving wife, Sandra M. (Sandy) Lane Boothe. Sisters Lois Boothe & Evangeline (Sis) Boothe. Brothers Allen, Luther & Russ, all of Bluefield, Va. He is survived by his brother Craig Boothe & wife Margie of Bluefield, VA & brother Steve Boothe & Wife Marci of Grapevine, TX. Additional survivors: Brothers-in-law Steven Lane & Randall Lane (Brenda). Sisters-in-law: Wanda Boothe & Sherry Boothe, both of Bluefield, VA & Pat Poe (Dave), Nancy Blevins (Buddy) & Charlotte Dye (Ken). Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arnie & Sandy were lifelong cat rescuers. Taking in hundreds of cats through the years, spaying or neutering them, and any medical care needed. He carried on Sandy's love for cats after her passing. Leaving behind their fur babies Christmas, Squeeks & Bolt. Arnie had a strong bond with all his work family, which he thought the world of. Many have worked with him for years. He leaves behind his dear friends, The Tatum family & longtime friend Connie Turner. They all will miss him terribly. "Well done, good and faithful servant!" These words echo through the ages, a timeless affirmation of dedication and service. They resonate with purpose, a recognition of labor, and commitment.
