William “Will” Odell Scarberry, age 72, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2020 at his home. William was born on July 28, 1948 in Hurley, Virginia to the late Paul and Liza Mullins Scarberry. He was retired coal miner for CONSOL and was also a member of the Teamster Union. Will loved to play golf and was a former member of Richwood and The Elks. He loved Virginia Tech football. He also loved fishing and spending time with his family. Will attended Cliffield Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Michelle Scarberry and Linda Scarberry; and brothers, Frank, Joe, and Paul Scarberry, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rita Ann Carner Scarberry; Two sons, William Craig Scarberry of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Kevin Michael Scarberry and wife, Amy, of Spring Lake, North Carolina Sister, Ebbie Hampton and husband, Ken of Vansant, Virginia Brothers, Clell Scarberry and wife, Amy of Alabama Brad Scarberry of Winston-Salem, North Carolina Danny Scarberry of Cliffield, Virginia Grandchild, Colt Scarberry. Funeral services for William “Will” Odell Scarberry will be conducted on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 1 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Reverend Rick Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM.
