Albert Plaster

Mr. Albert D. "Dave" Plaster, age 70, of Raven, Virginia, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005 in a Tazewell, Virginia hospital. He was born in Raven, Virginia and was the son of the late Charles Wesley and Martha Alice Horton Plaster. He had made his home in the Raven, Virginia area all of his life and was a retired supply clerk for the Simmons Rand Corporation. He was a member of the Richlands Masonic Lodge #318 AF & AM, the Tazewell Russell Shrine, and the Oneska Tribe #61 of the Improved Order of Redmen. He was a member of the New Hope Assembly in Claypool Hill, Virginia. He was a U.S Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Rasnake, Edith Whited, Frances Winfrey, Gertrude Woodrum; two brothers, Billy Plaster and Edward Plaster; four brothers-in-law, Kemper Rasnake, Clarence Whited, Jack Winfrey, and Howard Woodrum; and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Sydney Plaster. Survivors are: His Wife: Peggy E. Plaster Two Sons: Chad W. Plaster and wife, Sherri Lee of Richlands, Virginia Charles ?Chuck? Plaster and wife, Anita of Raven, Virginia Four Sisters: Ruth Mallory of Radcliff, Kentucky Marie Short and husband, Emory of Richlands, Virginia Jean White and husband, Tolbert of Abingdon, Virginia Judy Patton and husband, Jim of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Two Brothers: Russell Plaster of Galion, Ohio Clinton Plaster and wife, Gail of Mansfield, Ohio Two Grandchildren: Logan Plaster and Madison Plaster One Step-Granddaughter: Sarah Lee Proffitt and husband, Daniel of Shortt?s Gap, Virginia Several nieces and nephews and a host of special family and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Albert D. "Dave" Plaster will be conducted Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 2:00pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Claudie Throgmartin and Rev. Jerry Welch officiating. Entombment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Nephews, family, and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Men of New Hope Assembly of God Church. Members of the Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Guard of Abingdon, Virginia will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call after 6:00pm Saturday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia. Members of the Richlands Masonic Lodge #318 AF & AM will conduct Masonic services Saturday evening at 7:00pm.
