Bonnie Lauderback

Bonnie Lauderback, age 51 of Jolo, West Virginia was surrounded by her loving family when she went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 29, 2012 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Welch, West Virginia and was the daughter of Betty Dawson Deskins Mullins of Bradshaw, West Virginia and the late Raymond Deskins. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending church at the Family Worship Center of Jolo, West Virginia where she was a member. She worked many years for McDowell County Board of Education. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one son, Lewis James Lauderback, Jr. In addition to her mother, those who remain to carry on her spirit are: Her loving husband, Lewis Lauderback of Jolo, West Virginia Daughters: Stephanie Keene of Jolo, West Virginia Teresa Brittain and husband, Tony of Vale, North Carolina Cathy Sutherland and husband, Nicky of Princeton, West Virginia Son, Christopher Lauderback and fiancée, Jennifer Boyd of Jolo, West Virginia Four Sisters: Faye Boyd and husband, Danny of Bassett, Virginia Ida Proffitt and husband, William of Vansant, Virginia Cora Deskins of Jolo, West Virginia Hazel Jenkins and husband, Harry of Spartanburg, South Carolina One Brother, Danny Deskins of Bradshaw, West Virginia Seven Grandchildren: Sevin Blevans, Nevaeh Blevans, Steven Leonard, Michelle Leonard, Amanda Leonard, Kiarah Stacy and Jonathan Stacy, Jr. Her Best Friend of 31 years, Cloye Stevenson and a host of nieces and nephews also survive Funeral services for Bonnie Lauderback will be conducted, at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Family Worship Center in Jolo, West Virginia with the Rev. Charlie Rose officiating. Interment will follow at the Deskins Family Cemetery located on Atwell Mountain in Atwell, West Virginia. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Tuesday evening at the Family Worship Center in Jolo, West Virginia.
