Ginger Rita White Mustard

Ginger Rita White Mustard, age 79, of Tazewell, Virginia, passed away at her home in Thompson Valley, Virginia, surrounded by her loving family on December 19, 2020. Ginger was born in Jewell Ridge, Virginia on April 15, 1941 to the late Perry F. and Willie O. Osborne White, both former Jewell Ridge natives. She was a 1959 graduate of Richlands High School and was a retired insurance agent for the American General Life Insurance until her retirement in 2006. Ginger was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Thompson Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Mustard; and her partner for the last 27 years, Warren Gary Whited; three sisters, Beatrice White, Gloria Jean White, and Reba McGlothlin; one brother, Carlos Jack White; two grandsons, Scott Slone and Derek Slone; and one great granddaughter, Willow Rose Horton. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughters: Angela Horton and husband, Allen of Ashland, Ky Shelia Monahan and husband, Geoff of Summerville, SC Nancy Stevens and husband, Shane of Thompson Valley, VA Melinda Messer in Thompson Valley, Virginia Sons: Phillip Slone and wife, Bonnie of Spartanburg, SC Larry Lowe of Thompson Valley, VA Brother, Larry Douglas White and wife, Lonnie of Wabash, IN Grandchildren: Kristen McMillian and husband, Randy; Ashley Livingood and husband, Rus; Bobby Horton and wife, Crystal; Jacob Williams and wife, Diane; Joseph Lowe, Justin Slone, Zachary Slone, Melody Messer, BJ Lawson and wife, Heather; Tonya Lawson Kloc and husband, Vetek; Luke Gardner, Brooke Smith and husband, Chris. Great Grandchildren: Katelyn Livingood, Evelyn Livingood, Jackson Livingood, Allen James Horton, Lillie Horton, Connor McMillian, Isaac Lawson, Aubrey Lawson, Olivia Kloc, Aaden Cabera, Amaya Cabera, and Blayne Warren Mayfield. Funeral services for Ginger Mustard will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Danny Whitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Horton, Jacob Williams, Luke Gardner, Aaron McGlothlin, Shane Stevens, and Geoff Monahan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home. Per COVID-19 guidelines, everyone will be required to wear facial coverings and for the visitation only 10 people will be allowed in the chapel at a time.
