Jackie Lee Burr, Jr. age 46, of Raven, Virginia was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on September 20, 1965 and, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his home. He was the son of the late Jackie Lee and Barbara Ann Stout Burr, Sr. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Jackie was a pipeline inspector for Protech, Inc. He was a lifelong resident of the Raven area. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Esta Burr, maternal grandparents, Robert Stout and Velma Hawkins, one infant sister, Dianna Burr; mother and father-in-law, George and Ruth Hill. Those who remain to carry on his memory: His loving wife of 16 years, Leslie Burr of Doran, VA Two Daughters: Katelyn Hill Burr of the home Whitney Baker and husband, Randy of Tazewell, Virginia Sister, Barbara Lynn Jenkins and, husband, Jay of Wallace, West Virginia Brother, Matthew Burr of Wallace, West Virginia Step-Sister, Cheryl Sage and husband, Steve of Charlottesville, Virginia Three Step-Brothers: Harold Roland Dotson and wife, Patty of Richlands, Virginia Charles Dotson and wife, Andrea of Charlottesville, Virginia Donald Dotson of Charlottesville, Virginia Two Sisters-in-law, Sharon Salyers and Sherry McGhee of Richlands, Virginia Two Brothers-in-law, Leonard Hill and Jeff Hill of Raven, Virginia Special aunt and uncle, Cecil and Jane Elder of Clarksburg, West Virginia Special neighbor who was like a mother, Jean Stratton, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends also surive. Jackie is also survived by his dogs who he loved, Gracie, Zoey, MoMo, Abbie and Jasmine. Funeral services for Jackie Lee Burr, Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Grady McGlothlin and Rev. Farley Christian officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Walt Keene, Randy Baker, Elijah Fields, Brian Newberry, Jamey Hill, Travis Hill, Brandon McGhee, Ryan Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men of Rice Energy and Protech, Inc.
