Kendra Lacole Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On September 22, 2009, a precious gift from heaven was sent to earth, she was named Kendra Jadyn LaCole Johnson and Dwayne and Kimberly Cole Johnson were blessed to be her parents. Kendra's life was fraught with many challenges, she was born prematurely and within several month's death tried to steal her away from this world. Yet Kendra miraculously was given back life, for her purpose on this earth still remained. Over the next two years of her life she wove her love into the hearts of all who knew her. Kendra spread love and joy to anyone who came in contact with her. Her family, caregivers and friends received a touch from God when Kendra's small hand touched theirs. The love of her family helped to develop her angel wings, for Kendra knew right from the start she could not stay upon this earth and on Friday, March 16, 2012, those small angel wings lifted her back into the arms of God. She is a little angel now but her time was not in vain for many hearts will sing because they were brushed by her angel wings. In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by: Sister: Katelyn LaTesha Johnson of the home Brother: Bryson Hunter Cole Johnson of the home Maternal Grandparents: Stuart M. Cole and wife, Geraldine of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Paternal Grandparents; Carlis Johnson and wife, Freda of Jewell Ridge, Virginia Aunts: Karen Brown and husband, Rodney of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Rebecca Schuler and husband, Jason of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Julie Short and husband, Richard of Richlands, Virginia Uncle: Darrell and Cole and Donna of Tazewell, Virginia She is also survived by several cousins, great aunts and uncles along with a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Kendra Jadyn LaCole Johnson will be conducted on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Richlands Tabernacle, Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Ralph Horton, Rev. Michael Switzer and Rev. Bob Osborne and Rev. David Horton officiating. Pallbearers will be: Randy Deel, Randy Keith Deel, Terry Estep, Floyd Lester, Brian McGraw, Phillip Horton, Don Smith and Randy Cordle. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel; 1401 Second Street; Richlands, Virginia and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church.
