Kurt Meadows

Mr. Kurt Matthew Meadows age 25, of Richlands, Virginia departed this world of pain and suffering and went to his heavenly home on May 25, 2005 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Kurt was the son of Don and Lynn Meadows of Richlands, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of Richlands, Virginia. He graduated with honors from Richlands High School Class of 1998. He was unanimously voted Prom King in his senior year. Kurt attended and graduated with honors and an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from Southwest Virginia Community College in 2002. He was a member and past officer of Phi Theta Kappa. Kurt was a world record holder with the Guiness Book of World Records with a key chain collection of 24,810. Kurt was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands, Virginia and a member of Green Valley Church of God in St. Albans, West Virginia. Kurt was preceded in death by: One brother: Donal R. Meadows II; Maternal Grandparents: Cecil P. and Virginia A. Murrey; Paternal Grandfather: Donal Meadows; Maternal Aunt: Sandra M. Hague. Survivors in addition to his parents are: One Brother: Kevin M. Meadows and wife, Sylvia Spring of Belfast, Virginia Paternal Grandmother: Theresia V. Meadows of Charleston, West Virginia One Aunt: Pamela J. Dodson and husband, James E. of St. Albans, West Virginia 2 Uncles: Gregory B. Meadows and wife, Lisa of Charleston, West Virginia Edward J. Hague of Charleston, West Virginia One Niece: Olivia H. Meadows 12 Cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Kurt Matthew Meadows will be conducted Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Denton, Rev. Hugh Whitfield and Rev. David Bowen officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Jay Hague, John Hague, Jim Hague, Joseph Dodson, Josh Dodson and Kevin Trimble. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Michael and Madeline Weiner.
