Patsy Ringstaff

Mrs. Patsy McGee Ringstaff, age 77, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in a Kingsport, TN hospital. She was born in Pounding Mill, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mattie Ringstaff McGee. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a former substitute teacher for Tazewell County Public Schools. She was also a former employee of Eastern Isles Manufacturing and the Tazewell County Free Press. Patsy was a graduate of Richlands High School Class of 1952 and was a lifetime supporter of Richlands High School Athletics. Patsy was a resident of Heritage Hall in Tazewell, Virginia from April 2011 until January 2012. She leaves behind many dear friends from Heritage Hall and had great appreciation for the nurses and medical staff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Earle Ringstaff; sister and brother in law, Jean M. and Tommy Reynolds; and one nephew, Nick McGee. Survivors are: One Daughter: Tami Ringstaff and friend D.G. Jennings of Richlands, Virginia Three Sons: Terry Ringstaff and wife, Kimberly of Pounding Mill, Virginia Scotty Ringstaff and friend Diane Grizzle of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Tony Ringstaff and wife, Jennifer of Richlands, Virginia One Brother: Martin E. (Dick) McGee and wife, Judy of Pounding Mill, Virginia Grandchildren: Nathaniel Ringstaff, Kelly Ringstaff Hatfield and husband, Mike, Reece Ringstaff, Cain Ringstaff, Cassie Ringstaff, Joshua Ringstaff, Madison Price, and Ryan Ringstaff. Great Grandchild: Logan Simmons Step Grandchildren: Conner McCauley and Griffin McCauley Step Great Grandchild: Hailey Hatfield Sisters in Law: Margaret Roundtree of Newport News, Virginia and Elfie Ray Forrest of Richlands, Virginia Nephews: Brent Reynolds and wife, Carmela of Pounding Mill, Virginia and Jimmy McGee and wife, Jennifer of Richlands, Virginia Great Nephews: Keegan McGee, Gunner McGee, Justin Reynolds and wife, Allison and children, Logan and Parker of York, Virginia Funeral services for Patsy M. Ringstaff will be conducted Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 7:30pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev's. Carl Howell, Stafford Compton and John Repass officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00pm Monday at the Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: York Lindsey, Stan Dunham, Todd Miller, Randy Ringstaff, Dean Slate, and Paul Cook.
