Pauline Corns

Mrs. Pauline Hess Corns, age 69, of Bristol, Virginia, died Saturday, July 31st, 2004 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Ted and Lena Wyatt Hess, both Tazewell County natives. She attended Richlands High School and was a retired employee with Electrolux Corp. in Bristol, Virginia. She made her home in the Bristol area the past 35 years, was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Bristol and the Bristol Family YMCA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Darrell Hess. Survivors are: Her Husband, Mr. Bill Corns Daughter, Mrs. Rhonda Puckett and husband, Doug of Abingdon, Virginia Son, Mr. Eddie Corns and wife, Debbie of Bristol, Virginia Five Sisters: Mrs. Alice Palmer of Richlands, Virginia Mrs. Randall (Louise) Johnson of Bristol, Virginia Mrs. James (Lois) Vandyke of Bristol, Virginia Mrs. Paul (Kathy) Griffith of Doran, Virginia Miss Brenda ?Patty? Hess of Hillsville, Virginia One Brother, Mr. Phillip Hess and wife, Edith of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Grandchildren: Ashlee Puckett and Meghan Corns, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Reba Dye of Swords Creek, Virginia and Mrs. Ruth Cole of Abingdon, Virginia, several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Elaine Wright. Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Hess Corns will be conducted Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church on Lee Highway in Bristol, Virginia with Rev. Jeff Carico, Rev. Paul Griffith, and Dr. Andrew E. Spence officiating. Entombment service will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum on Valley Drive in Bristol, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Kirby Cole, Jay Wright, Lynn Gilbert, Joe Davis, Harold Puckett, and Bob Harrison. Honorary pallbearers: Jim Vandyke, Randall Johnson, John Bostic, and Rev. Barry Absher. Friends may call at the First Assembly of God Church in Bristol, Virginia Monday from 6:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
