Pearl Mangus

. Pearl Irene Mangus, age 82, of 644 Whitland Rd. Lexington, South Carolina formerly of Hartwell, West Virginia, died Thursday, July 29th, 2004 at a Lexington, South Carolina nursing home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Ashe County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Wells Russell and Rebecca Clyde Adams Miller, both North Carolina natives. Before moving to Lexington, South Carolina, she made her home in the Hartwell, West Virginia area most of her life and was a member of the Canebrake Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Raymond Wirt Mangus, four brothers, Howard, Gene, Bill, and Jack Miller; also, two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Miller and Greta Miller. Survivors are: Three Daughters: Mrs. Frances Cannetti of Crofton, Maryland Mrs. Sandy Osborne of Lanham, Maryland Mrs. Carol Lambert and husband, Roy of Lexington, South Carolina One Son, Mr. Roger Mangus and wife, Judy of Bristol, Virginia Three Sisters: Mrs. Susie Downey of Tazewell, Virginia Mrs. Gussie Tipton of Tazewell, Virginia Mrs. Ruth Lawson of Abingdon, Virginia Three Brothers: Mr. Joe Allen Miller and wife, Wilma of Rock Hill, South Carolina Mr. Robert ?Bob? Miller and wife, Mary of Halifax, Virginia Mr. Jerry Miller and wife, Christine of Pulaski, Virginia Three Sisters-In-Law: Karen Miller of Nashville, Tennessee Frankie Miller of Dublin, Virginia Lenora Miller of Bandy, Virginia Seven Grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Irene Mangus will be conducted Monday at 12:00 Noon at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with Rev. J. C. Steele and Rev. Max Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Joe Miller, Jerry Miller, Bob Miller, Thomas ?Scrap? Tipton, Jerry Colwell, George ?Bucky?
