Victoria Waynette “Punkin” Centers, age 33 of Warriormine, WV died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA. She was born September 6, 1979 at Bluefield, WV and was a daughter of Dewey Wayne Centers of Warriormine, WV and Laura Jolene Bolen Mitchell of Berwind, WV. Victoria was a loving, caring person who enjoyed working with people; she had been previously employed as a CNA / Med Tech. with At Home Health Care in Gastonia, NC. She loved life, giving her family and friends the gift of unconditional love, and with her sparkling personality she never met a stranger. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed listening to country music. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and the light and energy she emitted will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gethie Bolen and Rose McCoy Pierce; her paternal grandparents, Jasper and Arthalee Sturgil Centers. In addition to her parents, those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Alisha Lee Monk of King’s Mountain, NC; sisters, Juanita Perkins and husband, Jeffery of Berwind, WV, Frances White and husband, Billy of Gastonia, NC, and Loretta Fuller and husband, David of Stanley, NC; brothers, James Hicks, Jr. and Johnathan Centers and wife, Crystal, both of Berwind, WV, Frankie Hicks and wife, Teresa of King’s Mountain, NC, Rex Allan Hicks, Sr. and wife, Jackie of Mt. Holly, NC, and Jasper “J.W.” Centers and wife, Amanda of Warriormine, WV; fiancé, Howard Gibson of Pounding Mill, VA; special great-niece, MaKayla Kennedy; twenty-three nieces and nephews; a host of other family members and friends also survive. Funeral services for Victoria Waynette “Punkin” Centers will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the Yukon Pentecostal Holiness Church at Yukon, WV with Pastors Lacy Griffith, Ray Estep and Randy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Hartwell Cemetery in Hartwell, WV. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Taylor and David Prater. The family will receive friends at the Yukon Pentecostal Holiness Church in Yukon, WV after 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013.
